We have been looking to add a very special new girl to our lives in the hopes of bringing some genetic diversity to our program. With this goal in mind we have been working for years to build relationships with several breeders in Western European countries we highly admire and respect. This is no small task as many breeders in Western European countries are rightfully very cautious in selling to breeders they do not know and some have a strict no export to the US stance. Imports in the US tend to come from large kennels in Eastern Europe that have found an avid market for very pale dogs in the US where buyers are happy to have a puppy shipped to them sight unseen.

For us the idea of not meeting the breeder, puppies and mother dogs we are going to incorporate into our program was unthinkable. We were extremely fortunate to be accepted as a home for a lovely show potential puppy from the small but dedicated and successful Rizonhills kennel.

In 2016 my father and I spent a delightful time visiting destinations in Italy and ended our trip by picking up our sweet new girl, Tizzy. We also got to meet Cristina, Tizzy's Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, Uncle and siblings. All lovely dogs who are healthy and everything we hope Tizzy will to be. Her father Oiva is a Veteran (a term to denote a dog over 8 years of age) who is still actively showing and winning in his home country of Finland. Our deepest thanks to Cristina for entrusting us with Tizzy.

In October 2017 Tizzy became our third UCI International Champion.

In January 2018 Tizzy became our third UKC Champion. She garnered three Best of Breeds, two Group One and one Group Two placements along the way.

Tizzy has completed her health certifications and will be included in future breeding plans.

We are so excited to see what else the future holds for our little Italian beauty.

Our long awaited Tilt daughter, Miss Socks is a wonderful young girl. She is best known for her high level of snuggle factor. From the vet to visitors at a dog show, she loves nothing better that to lay on the ground as long as you'd like.

Consistently recognized for her high quality, Socks has been awarded Best of Show level awards at IABCA shows each time she has shown. She has also completed her UKC Championship, garnering a reserve best in show the weekend she finished..She is also beginning the process of earning her AKC championship with her first point earned and has been recognized with a reserve to a major. We are excited for the journey with this lovely girl.

What can you say about such an amazing first show dog? Jinx lives for the ring, she absolutely adores showing off. Sadly, Jinx did not pass her elbow certification. She has grade 1 degenerative joint disease also known as elbow dysplasia and no one is able to determine if this is injury related or inherited, so she will never be bred.

This issue has never had any outward expression and likely never will. It was discovered as we tested Jinx with hopes of one day keeping a puppy out of this amazing girl. She is an example of why testing for health conditions is so important. No one would have suspected that this effortless moving girl with generations of certified elbows behind her would have this issue and could potentially pass it along to her offspring.

That is why we test and why we can never in good conscience breed her. Jinx is now living the life of a spoiled only dog with a local family who had lost their Golden. She is now an official boat dog!
